I'm working at the moment with a folk singer from new zealand called Hannah O' Reilly. She's got the kind of voice that gives you goosebumps and sends electricity down your spine.

We are working on a trip hop tune, but I've just finished a first mix for a track of hers based on an interesting concept : she only uses her voice, as an instrument, doing layers upon leyers of intertwining (and, dare I say, shimmerring) lines. the finished version should be longer, have even more psychedelic processing, and feature beatbox and mouth-bass from Dr Stewart, so watch this space. (Or my recently created MySpace (I know, I know... I'm not proud, but it had to be done at some point)

As part of my DJing activities, I recently landed a small job putting up mix CDs for a bit of money. The tricky thing is that I have to make five a week, so you'll notice that it's pretty much straightforward mixing, nothing too fancy in terms of looping, effects and crazy bootlegs. But still, the track selection is probably worth checking out, as I'm making you the tremendous favour of helping to enlighten your poor souls with the mystic mysteries of the Funk!

In a completely ironic and highly postmodern move, those series shall be named The Groovy Funk Daddy Superstar Mix (The Funky Groove Daddy Superstar might be accepted).

A pretty busy week, I've put up another mix CD, this time in a more subtle funk/rare disco/early garage genre, (It is not uploaded yet) and have been asked to do another demo of commercial stuff, which this time I packed fully up (80 minutes, 40 tracks), and I've uploaded this one.

Warning : this recording contains terrible Rn'B. I don't like it either, but hey, at the end of the day, I'm getting paid. you've been warned.
